Young Lawyers Section: Connections

August 29, 2025/in Newsletter, September 2025
Jonathan Parisi is President of the Greensboro Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section and Attorney at Spangler Estate Planning

Jonathan Parisi is President of the Greensboro Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section and Attorney at Spangler Estate Planning

My name is Jonathan M. Parisi, and I am an attorney with Spangler Estate Planning in Greensboro.  I am honored to serve as President of the Young Lawyers Section for the 2025–2026 bar year, and I am excited about the opportunities ahead for our section and the young lawyers who make it thrive.

This year, our focus is threefold: (1) leading and participating in impactful community service, (2) offering valuable professional development opportunities tailored to early-career attorneys, and (3) building stronger connections across the entire bar through collaboration with other sections. We also remain committed to growth in two areas: (1) recruiting new members and (2) increasing engagement from those already involved..

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to expand your network and skillset, YLS is here to support and connect you. We can’t wait to kick off the year with our upcoming events and continue building a strong foundation for the future of our legal community!

YLS Spring-Swearing-In Ceremony, End of the Year Event, & Summer Baseball Game

On May 16, 2025, YLS sponsored a spring swearing-in ceremony at the Old Guilford County Courthouse. Congratulations to the twelve individuals that were sworn into state or federal court!

On May 22, 2025, YLS hosted its end of the year event at Oden Brewing Co.  During this event, YLS conducted its annual election of officers. YLS thanks its members and their families for attending and making the event a success!

In July 2025, YLS members and their families cheered on the Greensboro Grasshoppers to victory against the Bowling Green Cavemen.  It was a great turnout. We enjoyed an evening of baseball, good food, and even better company. Thanks to everyone who came out and made it a fun and memorable summer event!

Upcoming YLS Events:

At 5:30 PM, on Thursday, September 25, 2025, YLS will be hosting a Kick-Off Event!  The location will be announced at a later date.  All YLS members and their families are invited!

Fall Swearing-In Ceremony – YLS is planning a Fall-Swearing- In Ceremony for October or November 2025.  Additional details, application materials, and instructions will be available soon.  If you know any newly licensed attorneys, please let them know about this event.
