Steady Leadership, Lasting Impact: Honoring Judge Bill Davis
As the 2025–2026 bar year comes to a close, the Greensboro Bar Association extends its sincere appreciation to Judge Bill Davis for a year of exceptional leadership, service, and vision. Under his guidance as President, the GBA experienced a renewed sense of energy and engagement that resonated across our membership.
Judge Davis curated an outstanding lineup of speakers that elevated each meeting and drew record attendance. From Paul Newby, Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, to Whitney Oakley, Superintendent of Public Instruction, and many others, his thoughtful programming made GBA gatherings both meaningful and memorable. These efforts did more than inform—they brought our members together and reinforced the value of staying connected as a legal community.
Beyond programming, Judge Davis led with purpose and efficiency. He played a key role in reviving Law Day in support of the rule of law, oversaw the election of our District Court judicial nominees, and ensured that each meeting was productive, engaging, and well-run. His steady leadership helped strengthen the foundation of the GBA while fostering a sense of momentum that will carry forward.
Judge Davis, thank you for your time, your dedication, and your commitment to this organization. Your leadership has left a lasting mark on the Greensboro Bar Association.
